Chapple Farms is pleased to offer our customers a pecan shelling service. Using our automated equipment, we can shell the pecans you grow quickly and safely. The price starts at $1.25 per pound based on the initial weight before processing. All sticks, leaves, debris, and outer husk must be removed before bringing them to us or the price may increase. The starting price for shelling is $1.25 per pound based on the initial weight before processing. The price of shelling can increase depending on the services requested. The $1.25 price does not include pecan cleaning and packaging.
Before shelling all pecans must be cleared of sticks and leaves, and the outer husk must be removed. Failure to remove debris may be subject to additional fees/charges. Please check that NO rocks are mixed with your pecans as they can damage/break our machine. Keep your whole pecans in breathable bags to avoid mold growth before shelling.
Our shelling machine will leave you with mostly pure halves. Pecans may contain some bits of shell and shell dust. Cleaning and packaging are provided upon request for an additional fee.
Pecans can be shelled on the same day or while you wait. Cleaned and packaged pecans will require a few extra days.
You can have your pecans cleaned and packaged for an additional fee.
